The 2011 Hyundai Queensland State League Draw has just been released, and the Fire are in for a tough early run with away trips to face the Brisbane Strikers, North Queensland Razorbacks and QAS in the opening three rounds. The Sunshine Coast will host new teams Southern Cross United and the Gold Coast Stars in Rounds 4 and 6 respectively.
2011 will be a shorter season than 2010 at 18 rounds, with teams playing each of their competitors twice in the regular season. There will be much interest in the Round 1 Grand Final rematch, with the Strikers facing off with the Fire on March 12 at Perry Park.
